Attention: You always see the West 97 degree for Telstar-5, do not think it is the Azimuth degree that you are looking for. ( an easy way to explain: West 97 degree, it is the satellite track in the sky)

Tips for you to install the antenna

1. Before you install the Dish Antenna, you should use a compass to find out which angle your location is good to point to, make sure no big object will block your dish and the satellite angle. Trees and buildings will block the signal, try to avoid these objects.

2. If you can, try to bring a small TV and the receiver outdoor with you to tune the dish. This is a very helpful tip to save your work and time. You will have the real-time view to adjust the antenna and see the signal changing up and down. If you ask someone to stay inside and watch the screen for you, that is not an efficient way, then installing job will take longer, sometimes it will take you many hours and still couldn't find anything at all.
3. Most of the receivers come with both Signal strength and Quality bar indicators to show user their current antenna pointing strength, you need to get Quality signal to receive picture, if you have strong Strength and very low Quality signal, you won't get any channel at all. Your are pointing to a wrong satellite, or your lnbf type setting is wrong. First set your dish elevation at the scale where your area need. then try and try to move the dish slowly, left/right, till you get better and better satellite signals strength, then tight the bolts little bit more to let the dish stay solid, after that, continue your fine turn by rotating the LNBF till you get the best quality bar that you can get. Average level and higher signal quality will provide you the stable signal to convert into screen pictures.
4. Do not adjust any frequency from the antenna installation menu for the first time. Especially that 10750 standard or 10600Universal is the L.O. frequency for the LNBF, if you modify it, you will not get any signal at all. Also don't confuse it with the transponder frequency, lots of people had changed the LNBF into transponder frequency by mistake.
